Today we visited the Centre Pompiduo.
This art piece is called the Ten Lizes. The artist is Andy Warhol. He is
an American artist. It is a contemporary type of art known as pop art. Andy was
a leader in the pop art movement. Many celebrities influenced Andy Warhol
throughout his career. He created this in 1960. In this piece his influence was Liz Taylor. If I could
have any piece of artwork in the museum it would be this one. I love the style
of the art. I have always had an obsession with pop art. I also like the
simplistic yet beautiful look of Liz Taylor.
This piece of artwork is titled THEEVERYMAN. The artist is Marc Fornes. This
piece was created in 2010. Marc Fornes is inspired by 3D and architecture. This
is reflected in his artwork. This piece can be found in the architectural
contemporary section of the Centre Pompiduo. Although I think this piece is
amazing and beautiful to look at I think it would be a little unrealistic to
keep in a home.
Jean Dubeffet is the artist of this piece. He is a French artist who
grew up in Paris. This is a contemporary piece he created known as the cave. It
is amazing inside. I could stare at it for hours.
Oyvind Fahlstrom was a Swedish artist. This piece is a multimedia piece.
Its title is Mao Hope March. Something about this piece really caught my
attention. It was created in 1966. I really like the old feel of this piece. It
takes you back in time through question.
Really cool sculptures we found on our way home from the Centre Pompiduo.
Awesome graffiti.
